Support Staff and Summer Day Camp Program Director - Lakewood
Job Description
Position Summary:
Develops, organizes and implements high quality YMCA program(s).
Essential Functions:
1. Directs and supervises program activities to meet YMCA objectives (see detailed list below).
2. Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
3. Establishes new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
4. Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, may organize and schedule program registrations. May review and process program scholarship applications.
5. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
6. Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
7. Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.
8. Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
9. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
10. Assists with Program Committee meetings
11. Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program.
12. Attend all staff meetings, trainings and other YMCA functions as required by Supervisor.
13. Maintain open lines of communication with participant, staff and supervisor.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
1. Education & Certifications: Bachelor degree in related field strongly preferred.
2. Criminal Clearance: Including Fingerprints and background clearance
3. Health Test Screening with cleared TB Test and Clear Drug Test Screening.
4. Complete all required online training(s).
Experience & Background:
1. Three plus years of related experience.
2. Ability to exercise effective, independent judgment, and to work independently, with limited supervision.
3. Computer literate with strong Microsoft Office products skills.
4. Ability to anticipate, initiate, and structure work to be performed.
Physical Demands:
Environmental Factors: Indoor and outdoor facilities (e.g. childcare and recreational sites); exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on slippery or uneven surfaces. Noise level is usually moderate.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,640.00 - $78,317.00 per year
